Privacy at ResizeKit
Last updated July 30, 2026
On-device image processing
ResizeKit processes images on your device using browser features. Your source images are not uploaded to ResizeKit servers. Generated images, icon files, manifests, and ZIP archives are created locally and downloaded directly to your device. The image compressor also performs quality searches, dimension changes, previews, and downloads locally.
Information the website host may process
Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure may process ordinary technical request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, date, and time. This information is used to deliver the site, maintain security, and diagnose reliability issues.
Cookie-free product analytics
ResizeKit keeps aggregate daily counts for page views and actions such as loading an image, saving a setup, copying a settings link, compressing an image, reaching or missing a target-size bucket, and downloading files. Compressor reporting may include broad format, source-size, target-size, and savings buckets. Reporting may also classify a visit as X, Reddit, search, direct, or other. ResizeKit does not store the full referring URL, search query, or campaign parameters. These counts do not store your image, filename, exact target, image subject, IP address, account information, or a persistent device identifier. The source category is remembered only for the current browser tab session. ResizeKit does not set an analytics cookie and honors browser Do Not Track settings.
What ResizeKit never collects from an image
Product analytics do not receive image bytes, thumbnails, Base64 data, filenames, local paths, temporary object URLs, or the visual content of your image. Ordinary page assets and aggregate analytics requests remain separate from local image processing.
Advertising and cookies
ResizeKit does not currently display advertisements or activate advertising cookies. Advertising may be added in the future. This policy and any required notice or consent handling will be updated before advertising cookies or personalized advertising are enabled.
No account required
You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to resize an image or generate a favicon pack.
Contact
Questions about privacy or image handling can be sent through the ResizeKit contact page. Please avoid emailing private source images unless they are essential to a support request.
Changes to this policy
This page will be updated if ResizeKit adds advertising, accounts, cloud uploads, or other services that change how information is handled.
